Editorial policy

We explain sport with care, making clear what a rule or source supports and where an explanation has limits. If we get something wrong, we correct it and make the change clear to readers.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual claims against suitable sources and take particular care with rules, dates and technical terms. When a rule varies by competition or format, we say so rather than presenting one version as universal. We distinguish established details from interpretation and avoid dressing uncertainty up as a definite answer.

Independence and corrections

Editorial choices are made for readers, not to secure a favourable mention or placement. If a material error is found, we correct the relevant text and note the change where appropriate. Readers can send a correction through the Contact page.

Partners and illustrations

Material created with a partner, or content affected by a commercial relationship, is identified clearly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where that applies, the illustration is labelled.
